Exhibition “Paintings and Photographs” by Lydie and Didier CASTELAIN

Lydie Castelain is a lover of nature, music, poetry and painting.
The latter takes you on an adventure at the heart of the passion for shapes and colors.
His numerous visits to painting exhibitions made him want to take up his brushes in 2011, and practice acrylic painting. It was then the discovery of dry pastel, a very different technique where the mixing of colors is done directly on the sheet by working with the fingers.
She likes to play with colors to create light in her paintings, to work with her sensitivity, to transcribe it with her own nuances. His style, which can be classified as figurative art, reflects one of the facets of his philosophy of life.
She uses acrylic paint and dry pastel to express on canvas and paper her own sensitivity, her desire for escape. All his spontaneous emotions then resurface in his paintings.

Didier Castelain is just as much a lover of nature, his favorite subjects are flowers, landscapes and the animal world. For him, photography represents an exciting world, which allows you to capture what the human eye cannot always see, to develop a sense of observation and to cultivate patience, an essential quality for capturing the magical moment.
Naturalist Photographer, Didier Castelain likes to work in a more contemporary way as shown by the special effects added to some of the photos.
