La Chevauchée de Guillaume, a great 208 km equestrian route modeled on the mad ride of the illustrious William the Conqueror, connects the bay of Veys to the medieval city of Falaise.

William's Ride

In 1046, while being pursued by the Norman barons, the future King of England succeeded in linking Valognes to Falaise in less than a day. Today, this equestrian trek begins at the Baie des Veys (Géfosse-Fontenay), crosses the landscapes of Bessin, the Normandy bocage and Swiss Normandy for a grand arrival at cliff castle.
