Official ceremony

• 09:00: CHAMBOIS, solemn religious service “Mass for Peace”, in memory of the civilian and military victims, in the Saint-Martin church, followed by a laying of wreaths;

• 11:00: MONTORMEL, welcome by the President of the Departmental Council, for the INTERNATIONAL COMMEMORATION, in the presence of foreign delegations, a hundred standard bearers and the fanfare of the 6th Angers Engineering Regiment;

• 11:15 a.m. - 13:00 p.m.:
→ tribute to General Maczek;
→ speeches, wreath laying and cocktail;

• 13:30 p.m. - 14:15 p.m.: departure of the PEACE WALKS
(10 km/6 km), free participation, registration on www.orne.fr;

• 15:00 p.m.: launch of the CALL OF FREEDOM festivities
→ photo exhibition, carousel, Résonnance choir, D. Day Ladies;
→ dance and concerts, camps, period vehicles (including the Montereau tank of the 2nd DB), parades of re-enactors;
→ parachute jumps;
→ AIR MEETING with the Alençon Association of Old Aircraft (Max-Holste Broussard, North American T6, Yakovlev Yak 3, Dassault Flamant MD311, MD 312 and MD 313, Conair Tracker);

• 21:00 p.m.: CONCERT “The madness of the 80s goes live”, including: Patrick Hernandez, Cookies Dingler, Jean-Pierre Mader, William (Start of the evening), Mario Ramsamy (Émile et Images), Pauline Ester, Christiane Obydol (Zouk Machine), Philippe Delage and Olivier Richard (Musicians); free entry, reservation on www.orne.fr;

• 23:00 p.m.: Closing FIREWORKS.
