Carved in stone, the Roche d'Oëtre is one of the most prestigious belvederes in western France. This listed natural site is located in the heart of the oldest mountain in Europe. From its height of 118 meters, the Roche d'Oëtre offers a magnificent panorama over the wooded gorges of the Rouvre.
The hikes will allow you to discover superb landscapes, valleys, gorges, panoramas, picturesque paths: the ledge trail (600m), the gorge trail (2.5km), the meandering trail (6km), the granite trail (9km )...

Come and discover the breathtaking landscapes of the Gorges de la Rouvre, in the heart of Suisse Normande.
The natural belvedere of La Roche d'Oëtre, famous for its "human profile" overhangs the Gorges de la Rouvre by more than a hundred meters.
A meeting place for hikers and wilderness lovers, this chaotic and steep site, remains of the Armorican Massif, is home to exceptional flora and fauna such as the pearl mussel, the otter or the reindeer cladonia are some examples. Nearby, the "Pavillon de la Roche d'Oëtre" and the Maison de la Rivière et du Paysage welcome and inform visitors. La Maison du Paysage opens its doors for a discovery coffee break.
