Park and gardens of the Château de Canon

Preserved intact since the 18th century, the Canon estate was created by Jean-Baptiste Elie de Beaumont, a famous lawyer of the Age of Enlightenment who left his mark on the architectural and landscape ensemble of Canon with his spirit and personality.

This area is listed as a Historic Monument and has been awarded the Remarkable Garden label due to the exceptional ensemble of its regular flowerbeds, wild groves and period buildings (Chinese kiosks, Greco-Roman temple).

Called a transitional garden, it is designed in both the French and English styles, and is teeming with a multitude of waterways, waterfalls and canals, which accompany the walker.
The visit ends in the Chartreuses, a dazzling collection of thirteen walled gardens in a row, entirely planted with perennials.
A real open-air greenhouse, unique in France.
