The Fernand Léger – André Mare museum is located in Fernand Léger's childhood home, in Argentan town centre. Open since July 6, 2019, this new museum of modern art pays tribute to these two major artists of the 20th century through a bold architectural approach.
From their first steps in Argentant to their international fame, the seven exhibition spaces present the emulation between these two artists, their artistic choices, deeply marked by their native Normandy. You will discover in particular early drawings, illustrated books, decorative art objects and works and links that united Fernand Léger and André Mare.
