Church of Our Lady of Guibray

The church built on the foundations of a small Gallo-Roman temple is one of the main Romanesque buildings in Normandy. It contains the organ of Parizot (1745-1746).

In periphery of this one, was established by Guillaume the conqueror, the fair of Guibray. It welcomed, from the Wednesday before the Assumption, merchants who sold sheets, skins, fabrics and silks. This important Fair allowed the
Pays de Falaise to also sell its agricultural products. First western fair, second in France after Beaucaire, it was as famous as those of Troyes or Provins. Its famous horse fair will last until the beginning of the XNUMXth century.
