A historic experience to live in Falaise.
The castle of Falaise is a medieval treasure not to be missed. Built for the Dukes of Normandy, the Kings of England and the Kings of France, it has a unique architecture marked by keeps that dominate the fortified city. Between dungeons-palaces inspired by Anglo-Norman architecture and massive defense towers, centuries of history pass by and tell you about the epic of William the Conqueror and his descendants. An immersive scenography made up of computer-generated images and films, immerses you in the daily reality of the dukes and kings of the Middle Ages by recreating the richly decorated atmospheres of the princely or soberly military splendor of the garrison.
And to fully enjoy the visit:
The touch pads given at the beginning of the course reveal in a playful and striking way the interiors of the dungeons in virtual reconstruction. They are enriched with projections of images, stories and soundscapes.
Also, as soon as you enter the lower courtyard, a film shows the evolution of the castle's fortifications and buildings over nearly 1000 years of history.
