From Saturday October 21 to Wednesday October 25, 2023, the Équidays return to Calvados for five days of horse-related activities. For the occasion, the traveling village will stop at Falaise on Tuesday October 24.
Equidays: Calvados celebrates the horse
100% horse department, Calvados See you from Saturday October 21 to Wednesday October 25, 2023 for a new edition of Équidays. For five days, immerse yourself in the heart of the equine world and enjoy numerous activities!
More than 100 events await you throughout the Calvados department. On the program: races, competitions, shows, hikes, open days of equestrian centers, visits to stud farms and racecourses, walks, demonstrations and initiations, exhibitions, etc.
The village of Équidays stops at Falaise
Like every year, the Équidays village will be located in the heart of five Calvados towns.
On Tuesday, October 24, the Équidays traveling village will stop at Falaise! Meet at the Château de la Fresnaye from 14 p.m. to 18:30 p.m. to enjoy the festivities. In the program :
- Many activities around the world of horses : obstacle course, mechanical rodeo, inflatable structure, carousel, play area…
- Personalized demonstrations : from 15:30 p.m. to 16:30 p.m., attend a presentation of the Irish Cobs and an ethology demonstration by the Firfol Behavioral Riding Academy.
- Personalized shows : at 14:30 p.m. and 18 p.m., former Disneyland stuntman Jean-Marc Laurora and his troupe will offer the public shows promoting the diversity of equestrian disciplines, respect for horses, passion and technical prowess.
- Personalized strolls : les P'tites Goules will offer make-up for children, Charivari Palace will offer clown shows, and the Fabuleurs will invade the sky with giant soap bubbles.
- Personalized workshops. and activities : carriage rides, presentation of the donkeys of the Donkey paradise in the Pays d'Auge, making terracotta figurines, grooming and baptisms of ponies…
- But also: exhibitions, information stands on professions in the equine industry, etc.
Parade
As soon as the village closes, don't miss the big Équidays parade! From 18:30 p.m. to 19:30 p.m., follow the Chevâl from the Paris Bénarès company and the circus artists from the
Libellune company. Stilt walkers, dancers and fire eaters invite you to join them for a joyful stroll through the town center of Falaise.
