Step 1

Parking of the Château – Place des Bercagnes. Turn left towards Place Guillaume le Conquérant

Step 2

Climb the footbridge to the right of the town hall. Enter the castle enclosure through the Saint-Nicolas gate. Retrace your steps to the statue. Go down rue Philipe-Jean to the left and take the venelle de la Brasserie on the left. Go to the bottom of the Val d'Ante towards the fountain of Arlette.

Step 3

Go up the lane to the right. Follow the road to the left for 90 m. After the rock, climb the path to the right for 250 m and climb to the right on the plateau. Go right at the promontory of Mount Myrrha. Go left, walk along the fence and descend the Chemin de la Cabotte to the right.

Cross, descend the steps and rue du Val-d'Ante for 60 m. After n°22-24, pass left under the porch, alley of Palis, turn right and go down to the right then to the left towards the pond. Go up to the right, Porte des Cordeliers, pass under the door then turn left towards Rue Frédéric Galleron.

Cross the road to Caen. Head towards the Saint-Gervais church. Take rue Gambetta. Go through Porte Lecomte and enter Faubourg Saint-Laurent. Head towards the church.

Take the second road on your left.

Access the Château de la Fresnaye health trail through the door opposite the wastewater treatment plant. Go up to the castle. Take the path on the left that extends from the castle press. Cross avenue du Général Leclerc towards rue de Rugles. At its end, turn right towards the Notre Dame de Guibray church.

Bypass the church on your left towards Place Reine Mathilde. Follow the street to the right and cross Aristide Briand street. Go down rue Lebaillif to Lycée Louis Liard. At its end, turn right then left while descending towards the Museum of Automata.

Go opposite in the rue du IXème arrondissement of Paris, rue Amiral Courbet on the left and go past the Hôtel-Dieu. At the end, turn right towards rue Trinité. Facing the fountain, go under the porch then under “the passage under the Arch”. Go around the church on the right. You see the equestrian statue of William the Conqueror taking shape.
