MORTEAUX-COULIBOEUF

Take this 14km circuit and discover the three rivers that cross the village of Morteaux-Couliboeuf: the Trainefeuille and the Ante which join the Dives. You will appreciate the variety of landscapes crossed, partly due to the ideal location of the village between the plain of Falaise and the Pays d'Auge.

Step 1

Cross the pedestrian crossing and follow the sidewalk to the right along the D 39b. Turn left while heading towards the church of Morteaux. Continue east and take a bucolic little path flanked by two houses which will take you to the D 148.

Step 2

In front of you on the left, the facade of the “Château Blanc”. Turn right and at the crossroads of the D 148 and the D39b, take the direction of Barou-en-Auge. At the last house turn right.

Step 3

Take the old Roman road for about 2,5 km.

Step 4

Leave the old Roman road and turn right to reach the hamlet of Cantepie while crossing the D 148 again. After the bridge spanning the Dives, turn right to cross this part of the hamlet.

Step 5

Leave the paved part at the beginning of the hill by turning left and take the dirt road while criss-crossing for about 2 km to the railway bridge.

Step 6

Take the tunnel and continue straight. After passing a row of beech trees, turn right. Continue to the embankment. Take the greenway to the right to its end and its car park.

Step 7

2nd Departure possible: Greenway car park. Turn left towards Cantecotte to reach the village of Damblainville. After the two bridges, take the 1st street on the right which leads to the D 39 which you leave by passing under the bridge of the railway line. For 2 km, you will follow the Ante.

Step 8

Arriving on the paved part, turn left to enter the Petit Couliboeuf. Pass in front of the church and the manor of the Madeleine. Leave on your left the direction Falaise and continue on the right passing by the pedestrian path and the footbridge spanning the Ante. Return to your original starting point.
