Step 1

Municipal stadium car park. Exit the car park on the left, take rue de la Sablonnette on the left and turn three times to the left, and go down towards the car park of the church. Follow the “Chemin du Vivier” to the Grange aux Dîmes du Prieuré. Go up the path to the right and join the D 242.

Step 2

Turn right and go down towards the D 511, to take the path opposite. Go straight until the 2nd path on the right. You are on the old Roman road from Falaise to the ford of Jort parallel to the D 511. This path takes you for 3 km through the fir trees to the road to the aerodrome which you will cross opposite.

Step 3

In a wooded part then in the plain, this path takes you to the D 511 which you cross again. Always straight through the fir trees, then cross the D 88 and follow a horse track. 100 m further on, turn right then go down on your left the long hollow road called “Les Cavées” which takes you to the D 247. Take this to the right to reach the village of Epaney.

Step 4

At the first crossroads, turn left. Continue straight to gradually get out of the houses, then turn left on the path that climbs along the Bois de Catillon and joins the D 246.

Step 5

Turn right along this road with caution for 150 m. Turn left towards the 1st path. Take on your left the long path of Gaulish origin, called “Sente aux Bœufs”, up to the fork.

Step 6

Continue to the left which takes you to the Château de la Roche. Take the D 91 on the left as far as the Town Hall - School of Olendon. At the crossroads, turn right into the street that crosses the whole village.

Step 7

Leave the D 242 on your right. Go straight on, between the church and the Château, the path leading, after 1,5 km, to a quarry. Following the paved road, you will see on your right, Le Châtelet with its dovecote as well as the Farm – Manoir de la Varende.

Step 8

Arrive in the village of Sassy on the D 251, turn right to the crossroads then straight to the town hall. For 200m, take the paved road then turn left on the path going up towards the Carrière aux Loups. At the top descend towards Perrières. Turn right for a return to the departure car park.
