Wednesday, June 18: “Ukrainian Civil Society Facing War” by Cédric Mas
After three years of war, Cédric Mas will attempt to shed light during this conference on Ukrainian society's attitude to the evolving conflict. Is the civilian mobilization of the early days still as strong? How much confidence do Ukrainians have in their military leadership? Was Biden preferred to Trump? What do they expect from Europe? Is President Zelensky as discredited among the population as Putin claims? And above all, how does the civilian population organize itself to live daily with this permanent sword of Damocles hanging over it?
Cédric Mas is a specialist in military history, author of numerous works on the Second World War and articles on the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.
