On Thursday November 10, 2022, the Falaise – Suisse Normande Tourist Office, with the help of the teams from Château Guillaume-le-Conquérant and the Museum of Automata, offered its partners an eductour in Falaise. On the program: welcome around a coffee, storytelling tour of the Alice in Wonderland exhibition, discovery of the Museum of Automata and cocktail lunch.

Welcome coffee in the “Pedro Martin” shared room

To open this eductour dedicated to the discovery of essential sites of Falaise, accommodation providers, traders and other partners were welcomed around a coffee in the shared room of the Tourist Office.

This fully equipped room now allows groups, especially schoolchildren, to have lunch in the shelter during their visits to the major sites of Falaise.

Camille Lelièvre, from the Fleur des Délices, delighted us with tasty pastries from yesteryear, nicely decorated in the colors of the tale Alice in Wonderland.

Storytelling tour of the Alice in Wonderland exhibition

This Thursday, November 10 marked the official launch of Alice in Wonderland exhibition au William the Conqueror castle. Samuel Barth, in charge of promotion at the castle, offered us a narrated tour of the story of Alice and her acolytes in dungeons entirely decorated in the colors of the famous tale.

Many thanks to the teams at Château Guillaume-le-Conquérant and to Grégoire Dagorn, Deputy Mayor of Falaise, Heritage and Tourism Delegate, for their warm welcome.

(Re)discovery of the Museum of Automata

This morning was also an opportunity for everyone to rediscover the Falaise Automata Museum ; and thus plunge into the Paris of the 1920s and 1950s. Julien Mayer, cultural mediator, was able to briefly present the museum's winter exhibition, dedicated to the Santons de Provence. You can also discover this exhibition from December 1st!

Thanks to Julien Mayer, who in addition to offering us a visit to the Museum of Automata, accepted that we organize our lunch cocktail within its walls. We also thank our partners : la Le Fournil de Guillaume bakery, the delicatessen-caterer Lemaître et Marjolaine organic grocery store for the quality of their products.
